So for me, the internet is the place where I can always go and make myself feel better about myself. If I’ve had a bad day, there are always Funny Videos which can lighten up the worst day. If I feel ugly, I can go to numerous dating sites and find people who are much less attractive than I could ever be. And if I need to feel important, I can hop over to one of numerous blogs or forums and give advice until someone finally thanks me.
Yet lately, something seems to be missing. With more people flocking to the internet and web 2.0 services daily, it’s getting harder and harder to get noticed. It seems like every day there’s new “popular” sites that I’ve never even heard of and I pretty much spend as much time as humanly possible on the internet, being, well, popular. I should know these things. And I’m planning to learn them.
Each day I am going to take you on a little journey through the internet. I want the internet to again be a place where you can be king… even if it is on that RPG website that your friends created. So come back tomorrow. Shoot, come back later today. You know I’ll be around…
